On April 7 1967 Bobby Simonen walked into Gorries Chevrolet in Toronto and bought a Black Panther Camaro. Initially it was to be the biggest V8 available from Chevrolet until the car was ultimately approved to receive the 396 cubic-inch big-block. 10 bolt rear end.
One of only three known to exist and the only known example retaining it the original body and engine. The cool coupe was part of the dealers special program to meet the exploding demand for performance variants. One of an estimated 50 Black Panther Camaros sold out of Gorries Downtown Chevrolet Oldsmobile in Toronto Ontario Canada. This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Black Panther was last sold on Jan 10 2020. First was the now iconic 350 cubic-inch V8 that was at the time designed solely for the new Panther.
